“ This is one of the best places in Louisville! Their wings are my favorite, I make sure to visit Rumors when I am in town. Reasonably priced, casual dining, and the food/service never disappoints. ”
“ We stopped in for a 5 PM Sunday dinner and I tried the rolled oyster platter with a side of Cajun rice. The rice was almost creamy and had a pleasantly mild spice level. The rolled oysters were flavorful and plump with a fairly thick coating. Cocktail sauce was mild heat. Price point is very affordable. Our party of 5 had a choice of a regular table seating or a high top in the main restaurant. Our service was terrific and staff were friendly. Noise level was moderate. Restaurant has a neighborhood bar feel with many regular customers. ”
“ Great place for lunch. I have been there several times while traveling for business. I've had the fried oysters several times, cooked to perfection each time. Teammate has had several other items, burgers, wings and several appetizers. Never disappointed. Seems like a hangout for locals. If you prefer locally owned like I do give them a try! ”
“ Definitely a friendly place, lots of regulars. Service was fast and friendly as we sat at the bar and Max served us cocktails and appetizers. Both were very good and reasonably priced. Large menu including many seafood choices. Chicken wings are recommended and will definitely try those next time. ”
“ We love Rumors! I am 41 years old and have been going to Rumors for 42 years. Ha! So I will admit the memories do contribute to the ambiance for me, but for those that are looking for a new spot or haven't been in a while, it is clean, festive, lively - in a good way, not an overly rowdy way - and all around good natured fun. The food is great, I usually stick with chicken - the Diablo Chicken Linguine is great as is the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. The Wikiwaki Teriyaki is also great. ALL of the sandwiches are great. I myself don't eat seafood but my husband has enjoyed all of the entrees he has gotten as well. And the service is wonderful. Laid back yet extremely efficient, cheerful attitude for all who are working there. I love looking at the old photographs on the wall! I highly recommend Rumors for a casual lunch spot. ”
“ Rumors is a longstanding local restaurant in Middletown and after a hiatus I suggested a visit for dinner with my family. Be forewarned that the crowd and parking lot stay busy, but add your name to the waiting list. It moves fast and they have a lot of tables. The servers and hostess were welcoming and so nice, recommending entrees as asked. You could tell they are used to managing the crowds of locals. We got a cold beer and onion rings - yum! For my dinner I chose the fried fish platter with coleslaw. Overall I enjoyed my meal; the coleslaw is peppery so I might try another side during the next visit. Other meals at the table included the burger (huge!) and the po boy sandwich. We didn't leave anything uneaten! ”
